At fourteen, he makes silkscreen print close to those of Andy Warhol. Then he goes to "Beaux Arts" school in Paris.
In 1980, Joel Ducorroy meets Serge Gainsbourg, with whom he will exchange a few facetious words like, "And so, it is adequate," he had the idea to write it on a plate.
The support was found, an original trip could begin, through shapes, colors, humor and writing. At the suggestion of a friend, he adopted the name of a "plaquetitien" artist. Duccoroy, then, undertakes a variation of his work from this support.
After the "false-tables", the "portrait", "places of attachment", "Pupe" deploys the wings of 16 lepidopteran carefully locked away in boxes of one meter by one meter. "Pupe", the chrysalis, is the art of metamorphosis, the real transformed to give another reading.
