Portrait Raymond Moretti

Born of Italian parents who fled Mussolini's Fascism. His father was a Tuscany anarchist carpenter and his mother an Umbrian housekeeper. His works regularly shows on covers of literary magazine. In 1947 he painted "Moses breaking the Tablets of the Law." This work is currently at the Museum of the University of Jerusalem. Then in 1962, with Jean Cocteau, they painted many watercolors and oil on the theme of "The Age of Aquarius. In 1963 he met Pablo Picasso. Since, born a great friendship between the young and the old master. Moretti follow Picasso throughout his career and will be present in difficult times. In 1965, was held the exhibition of "Cries of the World" in Paris, twelve oils of 12 square meters each, which "Holocaust" is exhibited at the Museum of Tel Aviv. In 1967 he exhibited all of his work at La Courneuve. It was a triumph.
