(1895 - 1975) French Artist

Eugene Paul, said Gen Paul, was born in a house in Montmartre, 96 Rue Lepic (painted by Vincent Van Gogh and which has seen many artists), and practice from an early age drawing and painting. His father died when he was only ten years. Gen Paul was trained in decorative furnishings, but then the First World War broke out. He is sent as a soldier and was wounded twice, including once seriously: he loses a leg. During his convalescence, he returned to painting and at the Bateau-Doe, he finds a friend in Juan Gris, who helped him a lot. Although Gen Paul had not attended a school of fine arts in his training, he is particularly good at living his art for nearly 60 years.
